Little Compton, Rhode IslandLittle Compton, Rhode Island
Real Estate is all about location. Sakonnet Vineyards is located in the picturesque and historic New England town of Little Compton, Rhode Island, which was incorporated in 1682. Little Compton is a coastal community with frontage on the Atlantic Ocean and the Sakonnet River (Narragansett Bay).

The town is rural in nature with broad vistas of land that sweep down to its coast line and tidal ponds and is best known for its stone wall fences. It is a part of the Heritage Coastal Farms, a group of coastal towns in southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island that have a cooperative Little Compton Churcheffort to promote agri-tourism by highlighting the natural resources and historic character of the area. The town center, known as The Commons, is typical of small town New England with its general store, collection of churches and the absence of malls, supermarkets and the normal tourist attractions associated with seaside communities. Most residents of the town are passionate about keeping Little Compton “little”.
